BMR/TDEE general for my height/weight....help?

Hi I feel I have this worked out fairly well and I know I could probably do it a lot more efficiently however using and researching various formulas it normally works out around the same figures

I'm just wondering what others think, not particularly about me but the approximity of the calculations i guess..

I'm 20, 5ft 3 and around 8 and a half stone, i was 9 when i joined here so i have been losing slow! My bmr works out around 1405 with my tdee being around 1764, thus for a calorie deficit from this i'm around the 1400 range, MFP has me set around 1300....i'm not looking to get into a calorie 1200 debate here i'm really just looking for some general advice, do i need to be more specific with my figures or have i the right idea?

Any advice on this would help greatly, it's something i didn't want to post for so long because i didn't want to appear like i havent done the research because i have guess i just need some reassurance :).

    You should be eating between your BMR and your TDEE. You don't have a lot to lose so you don't need or shouldn't have a huge deficit. I know it's tempting to try to peel it off fast but it's much better for your health and your chances of maintaining your loss if you take it slow.

    First off, 1764 seems low for a 20 year old. Did you use the correct activity level, or go for sedentary? I also agree with mokey41. You don't want a big deficit at this point. I would take 10 percent off TDEE, but make sure you have the right TDEE for your activity level.

    I went for low as I guess it was during exam time and i was sitting around studying a lot, if i go to light activity it brings my TDEE to 1900 but then i'm worried that this is over it. Guess if i keel eating around the 1300 i'll be safe enough.

    Anyone else any advice?
