vitamin excesses?

are there negative effects from too many individual vitamins? i've heard the odd horror story of people who chronically over consume supplements, but they tend to be in pill form. i've gotten into the habit of eating an average of 2, sometimes up to 4 sweet red peppers a day as well as other fruit and veg. i much prefer them to chocolate/ sweets but when i check my nutrients at the end of the day my vitamin a intake can be as much as 4 times rda, and i've seen my vitamin c go up as high as 9 times, though regularly 3-4 times rda.
is this something i should keep an eye on, or just ignore and be glad it's not my sugar that's 4 times too high?

High doses: a few micronutrients are toxic, some are pee'd out, some you can achieve tolerance or downregulate absorption so create a deficiency when you cut back to a 'normal' intake. Some work synergistically or in opposition so excesses can inhibit the absorption or utilisation of others, Rebound scurvy has been recorded from vitamin C but it is rare and associated with mega dosing AFAIK.

Maybe try eating a wider variety of produce in the full rainbow of colours plus other snack foods (?nuts, seeds) as recommended by health professionals, fruit and veggies are nutritious but they don't supply a balance of all the micronutrients needed for health.
