Moving on from the 30 Day Shred

Okay, I'm getting ready to start level 3 on Monday and I'm thinking about what is going to be the next workout program to try. I like the idea of working out every day. It's not all about speed and getting it done as fast as possible for me personally. I prefer a longer, more sustained workout with more of a warm up. Jillian's approach is good, but I don't want a straight diet of it. I want to continue to lose weight and tone. What are folks out here doing for home workout, what works and what doesn't?

I've started with her No More Trouble Zones when I feel like doing a video. I also do a Brazilian Butt Workout on the treadmill - if you just search that you'll come up with it - you do various inclines and can vary your speed also. There is also an elliptical version. Then I do a weight lifting routine from bodybuilding.com. I'm doing Jamie Eason's 12 week tone and define right now.

I'm 1/3 of the way through 30DS, and I think that after I finish I might try Jillian's 6 Wek 6 Pack, to work on my midsection. But the Insanity workout is good, as is P90X. (P90X has a lot more diet included in the program.)

    Good luck!

I was wondering the same thing, I really like Jillian's workouts because they are intense, fast, and then OVER. I like the 30 minutes thing, makes it much more tolerable :) I was thinking of doing her body revolution next or Ripped in 30.

I'm going to do 6w6p starting Monday. I am wrapping up the shred this weekend. I want to work on my midsection and abs.

I just started a new group for anyone interested.

When I finished 30 DS, I just started mixing up videos and gym time with no real plan except to make sure I was doing a mix of cardio and strength training. That was over the holidays though so my main goal was just to stay active. Now I am working on C25K (Couch to 5K), power walking videos on my rest days from C25K, and lifting heavy 3x per week for about 6 weeks. After that it will be nicer outside so I will probably mix up trail running, walking, hiking, and will start Ripped in 30 for my strength component. I saw her Extreme Shed & Shred video for sale yesterday and almost thought about buying it. I guess the workouts are longer. I do have one pal who is doing Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution and really likes it.
