HRM SLOWLY DYING...MAYBE

For a few weeks now my HRM has been acting up. Sometimes it will pick up my heart rate. Sometimes it won't. Sometimes it'll say my HR is over 200 when I'm resting, then other times it'll say my HR is at like 38. My HRM is on crack. I don't know if it's simply time to change the battery or if it's taking a sh**.

Try the battery first. Mine did the same thing and I just change out the batteries in the chest strap and watch and its back to normal!0

Try changing the batteries or re-calibrating. You didn't mention what type or how long you've had it. I thought my Polar FT60 was crapping out after three months but once I re-calibrated the settings, it seems to be working fine again.0

I have a cheapo one. It's always been pretty reliable until the last few weeks.
