PLZ help me kickstart this journey again....

I'm not going to lie, when I first started out on this site, I was having trouble losing weight. However, I started seeing results, I became a little agitated I wasn't seeing them fast enough. So I would get dissapointed. But now being back home from working overseas for the past two years, I've gained more weight then I ever had initally started out to lose. It saddens me. But I have quit my job and am focusing on personal family issues... Which am surrounded by on a daily basis. I have taken comfort in food and trying to eat the food I had so longed to but couldn't when I was over seas. I need to kick start this journey, I don't want to make excuses any more. I don't want to tell myself I'll start tomrw or the next day. Just need some help...

I agree. Do something immediately. Give yourself one really good day tomorrow and then congratulate yourself for doing it. Don't think about everything you want to change about yourself. Think of one thing you can change for good: sodas, after-dinner ice cream, chips..whatever, and make the one change. Commit to walking a couple of miles 3 times a week. Find one thing and do it well for a couple of weeks. I bet you feel great!

Why do you want to lose weight? To look better? To feel fitter? Focus on why you want to do it and it can be easier to get started.

Also, if everything else is hard at the moment, then baby steps might help. Start by resolving to do 5 healthy things in a week. One thing can be replacing one of your comfort foods with fruit, or going for a half hour walk. If this all seems doable after a week then make it 10 things in a week and slowly incorporating more healthy habits into your daily routine.

I struggled to get going at the beginning of the year but I found focusing on a few things at a time helped me more than going like a bat out of hell!
