thai curry guesstimate?

I'm coming home from Uni next week and my family are taking me to have my favourite meal. Although I know it won't be the most calorie friendly due to the coconut milk I don't want to substititue it for another meal.

This is what it is:

Yellow curry made with coconut milk, sun-dried yellow chilli spices, onion, tomatoes and potatoes
served with either rice or noodles

The curry is full to the top in a small bowl with a side portion of rice or noodles for one,

what rough estimated would you give in the calorie area? Just so I know what to plan for breakfast and dinner!

It really depends on a lot of diffrent factors... How much oil/butter they use, how big the portions are, how much of it you eat...

But anyway here are your options.

One. Do you know what restaurant you're going to? Do they have a website with nutrition info? If so, check it and logg.

Two. Guesstimate 600-1000 calories for a restaurant meal. Be aware that it might be way worse than you think.

Three. Have the meal and then logg everything that you think was in it. It's better to go over than under so if you're not sure if there was a whole can of coconut milk or only 3/4, go with a whole can.

Four. Find similar meals in the database and pick one that is in the middle or over average in calories.

    Five. Cheat day.

My home-made Thai curries clock up around 450 calories before rice/noodles (which are another 200-300ish calories). Not sure how much that helps (as they're very heavy on vegetables and lean protein and I don't add any fat other than the coconut milk).

My understanding is that yellow curry contains alot more butter than red or green. Just something to consider if guesstimating.
