What can I do (as a beginner to exercising lol) to help to tighten and reduce my flabby pooch of a stomach? I've had 3 c-sections (the last one was a vertical incision that starts just under my belly button) and now I have a horrible, flabby, saggy stomach. It's awful! I'm loosing weight and couldn't be more proud of myself for sticking with it but my stomach bothers me every time I look in the mirror. Is there any hope for toning it and getting rid of that excess flab? With time will my skin start to tone back up a bit? I need help on how to make my stomach look more toned and tight! Thanks!!!

I have the same problem! I didnt have the c-sections iwth my kids but they are ten months apart and my body never recovered. Ive been using cocoa butter and vitamin E and its helped some with the markings, but not the toning. Only thing that helped the toning at all was 30day shred. It wasnt huge, but it was a slight noticiable differance. I am going ot keep doing that and hope that with every 30 day segment it gets "a litttle better" good luck hun!0

You can't spot reduce. So nothing.
Drink a lot of water to keep yourself hydrated. Eat at a deficit. Do cardio and lift heavy. Check out the new rules for women lifting stuff.

Hi,
Having lost 8 stones and had 2 c-secs all I can say is that you will never eliminate it but yes Jillian Michaels ab exercises are good at increasing muscle tone and I also do 200 crunches morning and night...
Depending on your age, skin type etc, the level of elasticity will vary but you will see some recovery in the skin sagging. However it will take at least 12 months after you reach goal for it to reach best case scenario.
My advice, moisturise daily, do crunches and other toning exercises and be realistic with your expectations.
Good luck.

They say you can't spot tone but even at my age (57) I have seen significant improvement in that area. I do strength training 3 days a week and it's slow but it's definitely looking sooo much better than it did when I started. After I lost the first 50 pounds i looked like a melting ice cream cone. Not so much now, lol. Still floppy bits but not where I feel like I need to where a long shirt to cover up the "apron" I had right about hip level.0

'm 54 years old and had a naturally round belly all my life, even before two c-sections when I was 108lbs. People will tell you that you can't spot reduce, or "abs are made in the kitchen." While these are true if you want washboard abs, I can say from experience that it's not necessarily true if you just want to change the shape of your stomach. My stomach is now the flattest it has ever been in my life and it was achieved through regular core-specific workouts. You need to make sure to target all your ab muscles and your back (aka "core" work). So, yes, you can change the shape of your stomach. It will take time and including core workouts 2 to 3 times a week in your exercise program. Private message me if you want some DVD suggestions.0
