Manually change the sugar limit in your 'goals' settings. It's set really low. Fruit is great for you! Don't cut back!!!0

Loads of threads on this each week, it's worth running a search.0

I have been having the same problem...overdosing on sugar. Which I have found to be extremely frustrating, especially because I think that I eat fairly well. My fitness pal sugar goal is 24 grams. A goal I have NEVER reached. So, I googled the recommended sugar intake for women and livestrong.com said it was 30 grams. I was also pleased to read that "recommended sugar intake refers to added sugar". Meaning that sugar that occurs in food naturally shouldn't count. I agree with that to an extent....basically, I don't feel quite as bad when I go over my daily limit now.0
