My Knees!!!

Question for everyone. Before I do my morning run, I do a series of stretches to help my legs be all nice and limber when I'm out running. I have a problem, though, and I'm wondering if there's some sort of stretch or at least something that will help my knees. For the first 10 minutes of my run, it feels like I have a small pointy things right under my kneecaps until they get worked warmed up and I'm good to go for the rest of my run. What can be done to either get rid of that pain or lessen it?

I have the same issue with my right knee. Sometimes even when not running. I saw my Chiropractor last week about this. He believes that it is caused (in my case) from inflammation behind the knee cap. His suggestion was to incorporate short sprinting sessions and ice for 10 minutes after running. I run on a treadmill for the winter, so he also suggested that I increase the incline. HTH.0
