I want to do a 10K by May 18th 2013. But I'm not a runner, I have done 2 5Ks in 2011. In 2012 I didn't do any running. So I'm to sure if I should do it. What do you think

I would start with C25K, which will get you to 5K comfortably in 9 weeks. Start tomorrow, and you'll finish April 1. That would leave you not quite 7 weeks to get from 5K to 10K. Doable? Yeah, if you can extend your long run by a half mile each week, you'll get to a 6 mile long run before the 10K. Your goal should be to finish, not set any world records, but it's well possible that you can complete the 10K. The better your fitness level now, the better chance you have of succeeding.

Just remember to start slow, and listen to your body. Expect some general soreness as part of the deal, but if you develop pains that make you change your gait, stop running, ice, elevate, and take a day or two off and then try a short run to see how you feel.

    Best of luck!

EDIT: Oh, and get some good shoes! Go to your local running store, not a big chain sport store, and have them evaluate you for the type of shoes you should be wearing. Proper shoes make all the difference in the world.

It depends how badly you want to be able to do it!!

How far/long can you run for at the moment?

Last year I started running in June and did a 10K in October, and would have been ready earlier. I'd say go for it!

When I started running I was already in shape, just not a runner, and I did bridge to 10K to get ready.
