Hello MFP! I am coming to you for some support. I am 26, 5'8'' and weigh 190 lbs. My goal is to lose 40 lbs (but a little more wouldn't hurt). I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years. We were living together, which means I am now living with my "roommates," a.k.a. my parents. The first few weeks I was kind of numb about all of it, but the last few days have been pretty difficult. I won't bore you with all of the details.. but I am looking for some support, I feel like I have bothered my family with this so much and my friends all have their own lives to deal with. It would just be nice to be able to talk with someone every once in a while, you know?

I would also LOVE to find a workout and/or accountability partner in this journey. I absolutely LOVE walking (would love to do the 3-day some day), and I would like to try more fitness classes. I live on the Western suburb-ish edge of the Twin Cities in Minnesota (USA), if anyone is close (or far for accountability) and would like to support each other.

Thanks for listening! Man, this feels better already :)

Hi, I'm in Iowa so I can't really help you with the workout but I know about the breakup and emotional/depressed eating. I gained 60 lbs in the year after my divorce. It was a combination of eating whatever and whenever I wanted and the only exercise I was getting was sitting on the couch lifting the remote. Best of luck and feel free to add me as a friend!
