So i started a week ago today and have lost 4 pounds. I am eating very healthy and small portions, exersing everyday for 45-60 mins. Everyone i have spoke with says i am just losing water weight.....how much water weight do you lose before fat loss? I am doing 25 mins of cardio and 30 mins of weights. I am really new to weight loss. I was never over weight till i had my daughter and gained 80 pounds. I really don't know where to go from here to keep improving.

First of all, congrats on starting your weight loss journey!
As far as water weight is concerned, as long as you're drinking enough water to stay hydrated, I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Over the long run, weight loss is simply a matter of eating fewer calories than you burn.
As far as 'eating very healthy and small portions,' make sure that you're eating enough to keep your body fueled. Eating too few calories will slow down your body's metabolism and make it harder to lose weight.0 -
Exactly what 5stringjeff said. A loss is a loss, and good job. Just make sure you keep it up!!!0
