You'd weigh XXX in 5 weeks...

Ok, can someone tell me if this number changes? Every week it says I'm going to weight the same amount in 5 weeks....

It's based entirely on your calorie deficit and if you ate at that same deficit every day for the next 5 weeks.

The only thing that ever comes to mind when I see those #'s is "I'm gonna beat that."

It is pretty good at predicting, I must say!

Is it good at predicting? I have been losing about 1lb per week, but I'm nervous about bottoming out and not losing anymore

Well, I will say this. I had my goals set to lose 1.9 lb/wk. Over the last month, I have almost always been under my calorie goal. Sometimes significantly as I do some hardcore exercising at times. I was losing 3.5lb/wk. I just upped my calories so as to lose a lb/wk. If I was eating my full calories back, I guess I would have been about 1lb/wk less. So, I think it is pretty accurate. Now, as my calorie deficit was different day to day, I always got a different #. It was pretty close, though.

Just ignore it. It's a mathmatical extrapolation of your calorie deficit based exactly on today for 5 weeks. So if your food totals your deficit to 650 calories, it is

    650 calorie deficit/day * 7 days/week * 5weeks = 22,750 cals divided by 3500 cals/lb = 6.5 lbs subtracted from your current weight.

It's nonsense to do math like that, as weight loss simply isn't THAT exactly linear and nobody eats exactly the same thing with the same exact activity for 5 weeks straight.

Mine consistantly tells me I will be 105-107lbs in 5 weeks. Then it berates me for not eating enough.
I've been doing this for over a year and have never been either of those weights.

    Don't believe it.
