Every time I think of you, you pop up.

I even mentioned you two weeks ago, missing the runners' companionship.

This is something I also saw on Facebook, and liked it.

That's exactly how I feel every time I do short running intervals. I'm also not a "runner" yet, but I never even thought it was a possibility before I started doing a little bit of it. Thanks for sharing this.

Hey,if you lace up your shoes and go faster than a walk then you're a runner. Don't underestimate yourself. :flowerforyou:

^^This! If you run, you're a runner. It doesn't matter if you run for 30 seconds, a half a mile, or 10 miles. YOU. ARE. A. RUNNER.

I used to love running. Unfortunately it was too hard on my body. Shin splints, pulled achilles tendon, dropped arches, and then my knees gave out one at a time. I miss it but have found I can still lose weight other ways.

Try reading 'born to run' then VERY SLOWLY experiment with minimalist shoes.

Last year I ran my first marathon and did my first triathlon. This year someone asked my what my goals were and I said "To enjoy being fit" - There are plenty of events I intend to take part in and I need to train to remain fit but my goal is all about enjoying it.

    VERY low, apparently, lol.

I've been spending a lot of time on the treadmill because of the weather and kids out of school - makes me remember those few times we just happened to be running at the same time, you with your kids on bikes in TX, me on the treadmill here in CA. Separate, yet together.

I ran 13.75miles in honor of my birthday a couple Saturdays ago, and was wondering how you were coming along in your training.
