Not sure if I should be using lightly active or sedentary. I am a stay at home mother. I have a 1 year old, but she has always kind of kept to herself. She is perfectly content to sit and play with the toys the majority of the day, and walk around on her own sometimes. I don't have to be very active to care for her. I do a little cleaning through out the week, bu we usually keep the house clean so I really don't do much besides sit and read, watch tv, and knit when I don't exercise.
If I choose sedentary, should I be logging all of the walking I do, too? If so, should I be logging based on number of steps I take, or time spent walking? I can't afford to buy a fitbit or anything that would help me count for all of this stuff, so I'd have to be able to figure it out all without tools or electronics.

You could do either way. If you don't want to log all of your walking then I would say lightly active. If you want to log everything, I'd go by time since you don't have a pedometer, and just make a note of when you are up and walking. (Although that second way seems really tedious to me, personally.)0
