Water question

I struggle with water. Don't ask why - I just don't like plain water. So I mix in Kool Aid (35 cals) or Propel (0 cals) so that I will drink more. I started that last month.

I went from literally drinking no water to drinking 4, 16.9 ounce bottles a day. But that water always has added flavorings.

So my question: can I count this as my water for the day as long as I log the calories from the add ins?

I like making a pitcher of water with real sliced up lemons in it to give it some flavor, or else the Mio Water flavorings are really good and aren't real sweet

Absolutely! Plain water is just awful, and I have to work up a sweat before I can make myself drink it. If I am not sweaty, I am just forcing myself to choke it down.

I don't like the add in stuff very much. They taste too artificial to me. So I drink water, milk, and occasionally orange juice. I miss my sodas, but less so the longer I go without them.

Of course you can count that! All you really need to do is maintain hydration levels, your body doesn't make a distinction between drinking pure water vs getting water from flavoured drinks vs getting it from fruit and vegetables. The only way time you'll get into trouble is you're drinking a lot of fluids with dehydrating properties (such as coffee).

Oh, great - thanks for the replies! I was hoping that the add ins weren't going to make my water not count!
