Food Intake Questions

So I found a site that helps determine what your percentages on daily carbs, fats, and proteins should be. (I was getting frustrated with lack of weight loss despite cutting calories and upping activity slightly). With the new information I see the problem is/was too many carbs and fats and waaaaay too little protein. So my question for my fellow MFP'ers is: What is a good source of protein that isn't high in fat? Something preferably that will fit in my very tight budget and tastes good and will fit in a "normal" diet routine (ie no specialty drinks or bars). Typically my source of protein is meat, but that will throw me over my fats obviously. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Eggs and chicken seem to be the best protein sources for the lowest fat for me. My sister eats a lot of beans, and no eggs or chicken, and that works for her. Beans are more budget friendly, but, alas, I'm allergic.0
