Surprising snacks!

Have you tried any "green light" snacks (meaning go on ahead and eat it, no worries) that you weren't expecting to be good but ended up being great?

Today I packed my afternoon snack of cottage cheese mixed with salsa, but had run out of carrot sticks so I took some salad turnips and sliced em up to use as dippy thing. OMG! So good, who knew?

Any off the beaten path snack suggestions?

    wow! Thats definitely a new one, I haven't had that before!

    Truthfully I love the "green monster" shakes, I usually have one in the morning and it keeps me full until lunch!

  • Awesome, thanks for the link! I may have to try that, I've been wanting to try some green smoothies (my CSA has left me under piles of spinach and kale right now so I think I'm throwing it into everything.)

    Yes. I once had the munchies really bad, and just needed something low cal to snack on, so I pulled two low cal items out of the fridge: celery and salsa. Omg, so good!
