Little things to boost activity

I sit at a desk literally all day and sometimes it makes me crazy. I'm looking for excuses to get up and move around, so I go to the ice machine and bathrooms on a different floor. I might also just get up once in a while to walk a lap around the building.
What are those small extra steps you take to increase your activity / calories burned? For example, taking the stairs or parking far away at the store.

Like you, I use the facilities in a different building or on a different floor and take the stairs instead of the elevator.
I also ...
park at the back of the lot, both at work and when shopping
I take an extra lap around the grocery store or the mall when I am shopping
I take 10 minute walks to the upper level of my building several times a day
I have a treadmill in front of the TV and walk while I watch TV in the evenings, usually using a hand weight
Sometimes I do knee bends or squats while I wait for the microwave
The little things add up, and 10 minutes here and there count.0
