Shoes or no shoes?

So I'm in my third week of turbo fire, and from the start, I haven't really been able to wear my shoes while working out. They seem to just kill my feet, especially my arch. I don't know if it's my shoes, or that I'm always on my toes during the workout. Does anyone else have problems wearing shoes during workouts, or is it just me?

I have been there. What helped me is proper fit. My arches always killed. Turned out my shoes were too small. And then make sure they are laced up tight.0

Do you know what kind of feet you have? High arches, normal or flat? Thin or wide?
If not, New Balance stores will fit you. On the more flexible side, Sports Authority (and some shoe stores) has a mat you step on and you can tell how high your arches are (or aren't). Any store with those old fashioned metal slide guides will also be able to tell you how wide your feet are.
Once you are armed with this information, you can do some research on the best kind of shoe for your foot. Or at least get proper inserts made for your kind of foot.
Personally, I don't wear shoes when I work out at home - or at all at home, for that matter. I am a little concerned about dropping a weight on my foot, but not enough to put shoes on.0 -
prefer no shoes for yoga, kettlebell and bodyweight exercises - oh and swimming!0
