A Small Victory!

So, I've never been one to not like myself or think I'm not attractive (except on those bad days). I've always been overweight (258 at my highest last year, and 180 is the lowest I can remember about 4 years ago at 14-years-old) and I've been pretty happy as a person...but not with what I looked like. Last January I decided it was time to make a change, I started trying to eat better on my own and lost about 20 lbs and plateaued (but didn't gain anything much) for a looong time. Just this month I rediscovered MFP and started logging everything I eat, weighing regularly, trying to exercise when I can - and so far I've lost about 6 lbs!

My little victory - I've always hated seeing myself in photos and videos, but I just saw a video my little brother took of me and my baby nephew last week on a tire swing...and to my utter shock I didn't wince at what I saw. I realized I looked okay, which was a big motivation boost for me! ...now if only I could find the motivation to exercise more.....

*Another tiny win - I was looking at my signature...and realized that I'd met and exceeded my first mini-goal without even realizing it!

That is awesome! I cant wait til' I don't hate taking pictures. I'm the same way, I can diet but getting out there to exercise is hard. But be proud of what you have done so far!
