G'day from the great land down under !!
I joined MFP this time last year at 83KGs - and have lost a total of 47lb/23KG to date, unfortunately I am currently down only 18 of those 23KGs so jumping back on the healthy wagon to drop those last unwanted lbs/kgs !! (7kg to be precise)..I am now 65kg wanting to reach 58kg!!!
I am 27yro female, I don't play a specific sport however I do love my cross trainer, yoga, bike riding, jogging, surfing, swimming , trekking and being active in a general sense ! I have no kids, and commute to work (full-time in an office) ..and love life by the beach with my amazing fiance.
Currently I have a knee injury which is about to be operated on (nothing too serious!!) so until then my health and weight solely depends on what goes into my body !! (Hence the slight lapse )
Ive always struggled with extra weight and tired many different ways to tackle the problem. Nothing worked long-term, infact not much worked for long, IF at all! But with MFP, it has CHANGED MY LIFE !!!! For the first time in my adult hood can I go to the beach in a bikini and feel good, also in most clothes that I wear... !! The main trigger to help me along this journey is being in control and doing it for my HEALTH, not just to be vain about bikini's!! ;-)
Logging my food is the best way to keep track of my goals.. I also find the MFP support network is amazing and the effects of feedback (good and bad) just reminds me how big the ''losing weight'' community is and the great impacts it has on me personally.....so.... im on the hunt for some new friends !! I would appreciate a little intro upon ur friend requests so i know who im adding as even tho this is the world of online, this is still a personal journey. so in return i will offer u my respect, advice when needed, encouragement and most of all my support !!! I appreciate ppl who really trying to commit to good changes (as opposed to another internet site to upload statuses about ur kids and day etc - unless of course impacting ur ''fitness).
I hope to meet some new ppl who can learn from me, and as i can from you !!!!!!
Cheers,
Skye )
