Is calorie counting sufficient?

Is watching my calorie intake enough to lose a significant amount of weight or should I be concentrating on my macros too?

Im already conscious of having enough protein, but I dont pay too much attention to carb and fat ratio.

Im eating pretty clean

As long as you're getting enough protein and some of your fats are omega 3's it doesn't really matter

Yeah, you want to keep track of your carbs and fats as well as your protein.
You should even keep track of your micros but that's for when you have time for it. (just eat lots of broccoli, carrots, and other bright veggies and fruits and you should be fine for micros)

As a general rule, you want proteins to be 40-45% of your calories, carbs to be 40-45%, and fats 15-20% of your calories.
Everyone is different though so you'll have to try it out and see what works for your body and your goals.

But just like "justsomerando" said, it's not THAT big of a deal, tho I recommend it.

    Cheers!

For weight loss, just counting calories is fine. For good health and nutrition, you should count macros too.

    Thank you

Without 'officially' tracking it, when I look at my diary and intake for the day, I would say the split is pretty much as you describe.
