Do you reward yourself for eating well with food?

It seems kind of counter intuitive, yet I'm basically doing that. I was eating badly since like November, going out a lot, drinking and blah and gained 7-9 pounds so I'm getting back to eating at home, making my own meals, and stuff like that. So every 7 days I do well and hit my macros, I will be have a semi-healthy Chipotle burrito bowl. It'd still fit into my calories, the treat is the going out part ....and i love chipotle :P Does that seem counter productive to you? Does anybody else do this?

I think if it fits in the calorie goal, it is a win-win...you get to eat what you like (and feel like it's a splurge) when in actuality you are keeping in line with your overall plan. I won't cut anything out of my diet completely because that will lead to a binge which would be devastating!!0

I think it's good to look forward to something and it make you try harder. Plus the item you are choosing is within your calories. Sometimes when you say you can't have something it makes you want it even more!0

I don't reward myself with food, but I also haven't eliminated my favorite foods from my diet. Sometimes I have ice cream, junk food, and meals at restaurants - I just don't have them all the time and I eat smaller portions now. If Chipotle fits into your calories, why not eat it once in a while?
I go out to eat probably two meals a week. It's part of my regular life. I'm planning on continuing to make healthful choices about my food for the rest of my life, I'm going to have to incorporate things I enjoy, like meals out with friends.0 -
I tend to work out a bit more if I know I am going to have drinks, or a sweet treat. But like you, I did have a holiday gain, so habits had to change. I love shoes, so I treat myself to a pair when I lose 10 lbs. I figure that I will have a great selection of cute shoes for when I hit my goal weight and go clothes shopping in my smaller size. As long as you are eating within your calories, and mostly making healthy choices, I say more power to you, and best of luck!0

I behave 6 out of 7 days....one day i'll work out extra and eat pizza or have a few beers....it's not a reward, it's a lifestyle change....0

Food is what got you into the "have to diet mode".. so food is not a best choice for a reward to yourself. Losing the weight is a HUGE reward all the way around, so reward yourself with a non food, like get a massage, go out to a movie, something you don't do all the time. Buy yourself a piece of jewelry.. there are so many other rewards you can use that aren't food! Be strong.. reach the goal you set for yourself.. don't step back!0
