I'm just confused because my net goals are 3,556 calories a day, but my protein says 119g a day? is it ok to get more protein? i find it nearly impossible to have 2,187 calories left and only 20 grams of protein left.

are you sure that you are reading that correctly? 3556 net calories sounds like an offensive lineman in the NFL....
a good protein goal for someone who is exercising is between .75 - 1 g of protein per pound of lean body mass.
I am 6' 4", weigh 201. losing 1 pound per week. My net calories in 1,900. With exercise, i typically end up eating approx 2,500 per day with a goal of 175 g of that being rich protein.
make sense?

Your protein macro is apparently set to the MFP default of 15%.
Many people manually set their macros to fit their needs. Many people, in fact, set it to 40% carb, 30% protein, 30% fat.
You can manually change your values by going to your homepage, clicking on the "Goals" tab at the top, clicking the "Change Goals" button at the bottom of the next page, and then selecting "Custom" and "Continue" from that page.0 -
I'm 6'2, 174 pounds. I kept my goal at "maintain weight" - I'm pretty skinny but toned up in my arms and chest, focusing more on gaining muscle but losing fat at the same time. I'm not too worried about losing weight, however I am trying to burn off some fat in some areas including my stomach. On bodybuilding.com i read in a forum that you should eat 0.5-1g of protein per body weight, so I guess 174g of protein a day for me?0

If you consider yourself very/extremely active, then your Calorie count could be right.
Try entering your stats here: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/
Then compare the number from MFP to that. If they're close, then you'll probably be fine. But, yes - if you weigh 174 lbs and want to maintain and/or build muscle, 174 g of protein is fine. You don't necessarily need to get 174 g every day - just keep it fairly close. If you know your lean body mass, then try to make sure you eat at least 1 g of protein per 1 lb of LBM. Again, don't worry if you have a day here or there where you don't hit that goal - but you'll want to make sure you regularly hit the LBM target.0
