uh.....BMR is never a goal calorie intake for weight loss - if it is, you've entered info that needs to be edited. This site is a dumb tool. It will try to help you lose weight no matter how you phrase your request. You are an adult, and you're respnsible for educating yourself about safe weight loss goals.

Eat between your BMR and your TDEE for weight loss. Simples.

  • Ok I asked a question out of curiosity. Your attitude and disrespect is completely unnecessary. Maybe you shouldn't say anything if you can't be respectful.

MFP only does math, it spews back out a number based on what it tells you. It's up to you to know if it's healthy for you. Figure out your BMR and your TDEE and eat somewhere between the 2 numbers.
  • I did figure my BMR snd TDEE and that's what sprung my curiosity. I know this is just a tool and didn't expect the numbers here to be right on target. Eating 1200 a day is far from healthy that's why I did research and looked into numbers and just wanted opinions on what others did. Crazy the difference between it all. Thank you for your input! :)
