Help me reach my goal!!

I have about 20 more pounds to lose. But I want to make sure I do it right. Im trying the body by vi shakes right now, just a temporary thing but will be ending that shortly.
I am 5'4 -
SW - 192
CW 154.6
GW - 135 ( or until i look good in a 2 piece )
I want to be toned, shed the inches, and actually wear a 2 piece for the first time in my life. Any suggestions, tips? How did you get there? Next week I will be starting 30DS (Have to wait because I am moving) but I try and walk and go to the gym as much as possible - problem with that is that it makes my net calorie intake soooo low. MFP suggested I eat at 1200 calories, I have been doing this for the past 5mo. Should I up my calories now that i have lost 40lbs? Personal trainers, nutrition experts, people who have had success.. Please help a girl out Thanks

Hey! Im pretty much in the same situation my goal is to lose 10 lbs by March 23 (spring break) and then another 10-15 by June. Motivation is the key im doing short term goals with regards to running, I started watching what I ate and working out 6days a week. Im trying to stick to 1200-1500 calories a day and walk/run at least 3 miles a day and always do abs 3 sets of 50. By the end of next week I want to be able to run 3 miles straight and eventually get up to 5 miles run/walk! Ive already dropped 2 lbs. since my start date 1/20/13! Let me know if you ever need a motivation buddy! Making the short term goals is what really pushes me right now, im not keeping track of weight right now because i know not much is going to change the first 3 weeks but pushing myself with my running goals i think will help get me to the gym trying to make the next day better than the last. I’ve looked into the 30DS let me know how that works for you, I’ve read about great success stories!

I would definitely up your calorie goal. 1200 calories isn't that much and if you want to be toned, you want to maximize muscle retention. With your stats and your workout program, i would say 1600 calories total (not net) would be a more sufficient goal. I also suggest adjust macro's to around 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fats. Protein can help with maintaining lean body mass as well. If you really want to help with body composition, start doing some resistance training. Cardio inherently burns a lot of calories but it can also increase the chances of muscle loss. And 30DS is very much cardio based.0
