If I eat 1300 calories a day, do I still have to burn 3500 a week in exercising to lose 1 lb a week?

It depends on how many calories you need to maintain your body and daily activity. More than likely, you're technically burning calories at 1300 intake calories a day. Most people need anywhere from 1500 calories and up just to keep from losing weight. If you eat less calories than your body is already burning calories.
Let's say you need 1900 calories, but you're eating 1300 calories. That means you're burning 600 calories a day more than you need to simply stay the same weight. So even if you didn't add exercise, if those were your starting numbers, you'd burn 4200 calories at the end of the week simply by living and eating fewer calories than your body needs to simply live and do what you do.0 -
OOOh ok, so if I exerize on top of that and burn 3500 more calories then should I be able to lose 2 pounds a week instead of 1?0

Too big of a deficit can stall your progress if you don't have alot of weight to lose.. you think adding more exercise and not eating back exercise calories would result in more lbs off.. but in reality you will more than likely plateau.0
