VEGANS: It's Girl Scout Cookie season!

I'm so excited! The cookies that are vegan are: Thin Mints, Thanks-a-Lots, Peanut Butter Patties, Shout-Outs, and Lemonades. If you'd like to double check the ingredients, the URL is http://www.abcsmartcookies.com/cookies.asp

They're $3.50 a box. I have only tried the Thin Mints since going vegan, and I'm excited to try the others. My former favorite Samoa's aren't vegan unfortunately. Don't go crazy, stay within your calories & macros & enjoy!

Also, to find a cookie booth near you just enter your ZIP at http://www.girlscoutcookies.org

I would do dirty things for a Tagalong (peanut butter patty) right now.

Not a vegan, but very surprised to hear that the Tagalongs are vegan (I assume no dairy products) since they have chocolate and PB (usually made with a cream or butter).

    Learn something new every day!

As GMOs are so abundant these days, I would assume food items not marked with the Organic certification seal (which by law may not include GMOs) do contain GMOs.

    Thanks!
I didn't see Girl Scouts in there... Maybe there's hope. I did see Oreos so now it'll be easy not to give in to those anymore.

There are two companies that produce Girl Scout cookies. ABC bakers is the one with the vegan cookies. The same cookie varieties produced by the other company, Little Brownie Bakers, ARE NOT VEGAN! Make sure you read the labels before you buy any.

The cookies in my area are vegan (woo hoo!), but you may not be so lucky, depending on where you live.

Thanks for the tip. I believe the cookies in my area are ABC bakers as well. They better be or I'll be forever heart broken, but I'll definitely check before I buy out the place

I think that's the issue I have here, because back in the day, several of the cookies were vegan here, and then the last two years, they ALL list whey as at least the last ingredient. I assume they're accounting for cross contamination moreso than actually adding a dash of whey to every formula, but none the less, NOT VEGAN.
