Hey MFP
I just joined a gym that is run through the city. It's very small but it's got the basics. I'm aiming to go 3-4 times a weeks and workout at home. I have a 7 month old so it's hard to find someone to watch her when I go. Anyways, I have used a gym before and know how to use the equipment but it's been so long that I don't know what to do and how much. They don't have personal trainers at this location. When I move in August I'm joining a gym that has it all, but for now I don't know what to do
My goals is weight lost (I have 70 pounds to lose) but I would like to maintain some muscle definition (even thou its hiding under all the fat.
If anyone can help with a basic routine and how many reps and sets that would be appreciate. Also I can't stay for long periods of time so 1-1and 1/2 hours. Which would include 30-40mins of some cardio machine like the treadmill.
Or if you know of any websites with that kind of info would be great
Thanks for any advice. I will be getting a trainer at the new location so then I can work out a better and effective routine for my body.

Skip the machines and head for the free weights.
http://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5-beginner-strength-training-program/ is a good program, though I prefer Starting Strength (buy on Amazon).0 -

Thanks for the site. I only briefly looked at it but it looks like there is some great info. Going to be reading after I put the baby to sleep tonight0 -

I'm on my 2nd plan from Body Building. Lost about 10 lbs doing Jamie Eason's LiveFit 12-week program from that site. I did not follow the eating plan and would have lost much more had I eaten better.0
