The secret to weight loss!!!!

Thank you for coming to this post!

Do you want to know what you need in order to sucessfully lose weight and keep it off?

Well, look no further! I have the answer for you. This one secret ingredient will work for everyone!

It's called; HARD WORK!

I don't mean go to the gym and start lifting the heaviest weights you can handle. I don't mean jump on the treadmill and set it for 7 mph and run until you puke or pass out. I'm not talking about banning foods you love for the rest of your life and going into fits of crying whenever you see a cupcake or a slice of bacon.

I'm talking about setting reasonable goals, making a plan and sticking to it. Be consistent and patient with yourself. Paying attention to your own health and happiness is a job. It requires attention, motivation, and conscious thought. The good news is that YOU CAN DO IT!!!

You will make mistakes. If you make a mistake at a job, you try to figure out why it happened and how to fix it. Same with food and exercise. Why should YOUR LIFE be any different? BE KIND to yourself.

Yes, I'm in my own journey with weight loss. I hired a personal trainer to get my food & exercise on track and loved it so much I became a personal trainer myself. I have made goals and a plan on how to achieve those goals. I'm a 6 year cancer survivor. I went from having a disease with a 24% rate of survival to being a fitness instructor and a personal trainer. I'll be running my first 5K this year. I've worked HARD and am really excited to see just how far I can go!

If *I* can do it, anyone can! :D

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

For the first time in my life I finally feel like I know what it is I'm supposed to do - and that's help other people be healthy. Weight loss is hard work, but with the proper mindset it can be a wonderful and positive journey!

There's no need for us to starve ourselves...with the proper mindset and support system it's possible for us to get to a healthier body composition. The problem is that we've become an "instant gratification" society and we want results NOW! I know that patience isn't my best trait, but I'm learning.
