Changing up exercise rountines

How often should you change up exercise routines? I have been focusing on doing 20 minutes of Zumba each night and just added in weights for my arms. I also try to walk at lunchtime. Goal is 30 minutes, but it has been hit or miss.
It was recommended to me to change my cardio routine to something different to maximize my calorie burning. Any comments and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

When you stop seeing results? Very generally speaking, have a regimen that includes several different things, both cardio and strength wise. And then change it up about every 2 - 3 months. My two cents.0

I've been dancing for my entire life. Still works. Did spin for 9 years. I added heavy lifting last year. Also been a road cyclist and paddeboarder for about 3 years now.
I don't think it's true that you have to "change up" your routine, as if an activity's' effectiveness expires.0 -
Thanks for the input. I like doing what I am doing and it is keeping me motivated. I just didn't want to "not" be doing the right thing to help me stayed focused on losing weight.0
