New diet for me

I'm thinking seriously of a nutritional program that I've seen mentioned on two t.v. shows, The Doctors & The Dr. Oz Show. It's been recommended to not eat any meat that comes from any animal that walks on four feet, so I guess that leaves chicken and fish (no brainer, right)? Since I really don't care for much fish unless it is extremely mild tasting, that pretty much leaves chicken and vegetables, in addition to a brown rice and any carbs that are only 100% whole wheat. Does anyone have any suggestions how to serve vegetables other than steamed with no added fat?

on the bbq or grill, big chunks of peppers, zucchini, porabellos, pineapple, really anything you like even cobs of corn work great. I use an orange juice glaze, and they taste soooo yummy!

Well, IMO, there's nothing wrong with fat -- when it's the right kind, in the right amount.

I'd suggest slicing veggies and placing them in a baking dish with some extra virgin olive oil drizzled on top, and perhaps some herbs as well, then covering the dish and roasting them in the oven 'til tender.

Or turn your vegetables into a variety of delicious soups and stews (with the addition of beans and potatoes, for example) -- google for some recipes.

Sounds good. I've done this before but have forgotten about it. Thanks!
