photos of tummies

Hello, I am curious about before & after tummy photos and all tummy photos in general.
Are the subjects in the photos flexing or holding in their tummies for the photo or is that how they look all the time?

Maybe it's because I've had 2 babies but no matter no small I get my tummy never looks as tight as the photos I see.
The reason I'm asking it so I don't develop unrealistic expectations thinking that my tummy could look that tight all the time if I just work harder in the gym/kitchen without holding/flexing. There's a big difference when I hold my tummy in vs letting it "all hang out", I've asked a few people and no one seems to know what I'm talking about. Thx

You should always be subconciously flexing your abs, mine are always flexed i do not ever let off abdominal pressure unless im asleep hah. My stomach always looks like this ive had one child when i do fully flex its more defined. If your looking to tone and tighten your body you should try a full body workout like 30DS p90x or insanity. :)

I workout 6 days a week (run and lift), sometimes twice a day if you count the yogalates.
My tummy is tight but there's still a little layer of fat preventing from from seeing the definition from all my work (working on it).
I do hold my tummy when I'm thinking of it or when I am wearing something tighter.
I look great in clothes but when I look at the tummy beneath the clothes it only looks good when I'm flexing/holding in or whatever that's called. I just can't be sure when I look at photos or see ladies at the beach if they are actively holding their tummies in or if they are natually (through hard work I'm sure) just have a super flat toned belly.

So if I were at the beach or having a after photo taken of myself and I hold/flex my abs that wouldn't be faking it is what you are telling me.
Excellent, this has been bugging me for a while now.
