Weight Gain Due to Vacation Facestuffing?

I see so many of these, so I figured I would post my own, just for sheer amusement.
The wife and I went on vacation in Myrtle Beach for a week. Over the course of that week, we ate out five of the six nights, completely stuffing our faces (easily 1500-2000+ calorie meals for dinner, after eating normally most of the day). Medieval Times, a great Sushi place, a chop house, and a couple of others that aren't worthy of much mention were among the places we went. Our one condition was that we wouldn't eat any form of 'greasy spoon' garbage that we wouldn't eat under normal circumstances.
We arrived back home about an hour ago, and decided to weigh ourselves, expecting all kinds of horror. The end result? Neither of us gained a single damned pound. All we did was...well, we didn't do anything differently other than the food. We found a decent gym within a couple of miles of the hotel we were staying at, and stuck with our normal lifting schedule. About the only thing I did differently was tear down some new PRs, figuring that my increased food intake should enable me to pick up some comparably heavy *kitten* weight.
Lesson learned: a week (let alone a day) isn't going to alter a damned thing, other than giving some extra fuel for the lift...just don't let said fuel go to waste...or give it the chance to collect in your *kitten*. This is pretty much common knowledge to most these days, but I figured I would share my first personal experience with it.
