Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you to those MFP members who have and continue to post helpful information about proper nutrition and training. I know sometimes there is a lot of arguing over what is "correct" and it can get discouraging when so many people bash your good advice, but for me, even seeing someone post something that sounded different than what I've heard before caused me to go do my own research and really dig in deep to find out what the reality was.
Your help has changed my life for the better, and if it wasn't for you posting the information here in the forums, I would have never known any better. For the first time in my life, I feel happy, healthy, and like I'm making real, lasting progress toward my goals.
So, thank you, thank you, thank you! for the information and the support, and please don't ever stop sharing! :flowerforyou:

Yes, thank you to Helloitsdan and Heybales and so many people on here who continued to post to let people know that you don't have to eat so much less to lose weight.
If I hadn't read through the forum posts, I would not have known that I was harming my body for the future, that I was screwing up my metabolism. I also learnt why, in the past, I had lost weight and never achieved the body I had dreamed of and that I still felt fat and definitely looked 'squigy'
Thanks to all those people, I am losing weight steadily and healthily and learning to eat NOW, how I want to eat for the rest of my life to ensure that the weight stays off this time. I would also like to thank the people who posted about how strength training is vital for retaining lean body mass as I have now started lifting heavy *kitten* and putting it down again.
I have never felt better, been happier or seen my body changing shape so quickly whilst losing weight.
I really cannot say THANK YOU enough

I'd like to personally thank LorinaLynn for showing me that in order to get the body I want, I need to eat (large) and lift (heavy)!0

Well, I didn't want to play favorites, but....
My thanks to Sarauk2sf, morebean13, 31prvrbs, anewlucia, geekyjock76, helloitsdan, beachlover317, and tameko2, and I'm sure others who aren't on my FL but that I've probably referenced posts from.
I know some of you get really beat up in the forums for what you're posting, so shout out to you for still sharing! It's helped me and so many others.0 -

I appreciate all the people who support each other in the spirit of friendship. To Dan(helloitsdan), heybales (heybales) & Chris (Chris1816): You guys rock - each in your own way. As a team - you provide what most people need to understand and utilize all the good information crammed inside those heads!
To my Friends that work so hard to eat healthy & build muscle: I love you all. You keep me going and without your support I'm not sure I'd still be here.
To my new friend Sarahisme: Thanks for starting a post that will not raise my blood pressure! LOL And all the information I pass to you, came to me from my friends first! :flowerforyou:0 -
Great post.
So many people are here going out of their way and spending their free time trying to help people onto the right track, often getting shot down in the process but still persevering and trying to get through to people. They got through to me and many others I know too and I am eternally grateful.0 -
Great thread! There are a lot of steady and helpful people on here and it is a shame that they often get lost in the many petty "discussions" on here.0

I 100% agree! I have never been somewhere online or offline where so many people are so supportive and non judgemental.
Because, and only because of MFP... I am 15 lbs closer to my weight.
This is the only place in my life I feel comfortable saying my weight and measurements.
Thank you thank you thank you!0
