    Grizzly Bear. I can't believe anyone thinks a gorilla could take a grizzly.

    im still sayin gorilla, just based on the smarts, i live in kodiak AK and see these huge bears all the time, i know bears are smart too, and if a bear had thumbs i would vote for them, also bears know when to stop when theyre losing and back out, gorillas are stubborn stupid that way, they'll fight to the death

    Wasn't there a show on Discovery Channel that created simulations on these kinds of match-ups?
    Anyways, my vote goes to the Grizzly.

    Animal Face Off! I loved that show. I just checked Wikipedia and they never had that matchup, but they had a gorilla fight a leopard and Siberian brown bear fight a tiger. Gorilla and bear both won their fights by using their massive strength to break the backs of their opponents. I'd probably go with Grizzly over gorilla, though. The bear has teeth, strength, claws, thick fur, blubber and size. The Gorilla just has teeth and strength.
