Men who help at home get less sex? WTH!
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, as they say: the more housework married men do, the less sex they have, according to a new study published Wednesday.
Husbands who spend more time doing traditionally female chores -- such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping -- reported having less sex than those who do more masculine tasks, said the study in the American Sociological Review.
I don't know what all of you think, but if I stopped doing my share of all of these things I'm pretty sure I would be having no sex. LOL

My husband does minimal cooking (breakfast and grilling dinner on weekends mostly), 1% of the cleaning, 1% of the shopping and maybe 1% of the folding laundry. HOWEVER, he does help me out when help is needed. It's really nice to have someone else make the meals on the weekends so I can do my long run or one-on-one time with the kids. It's great that he sees that the clothes baskets are full of clothes and starts folding at least some of them. I don't feel like he needs to do 50% of the housework... just pick up where I fall short. And same for him, if he falls behind at work (like he's bringing home work this weekend), I have no problem picking up the slack to make sure he gets what he needs to get done. It's a partnership. Marriage isn't about 50/50 split or its not fair. It's about giving 100% to whatever is needed.
I'd like to see the number subjects that they studied and other circumstances surrounding their marriages. Somehow I doubt if doing more housework is really the root cause of the problem. I would throw out a wild guess that the reason that these husbands are doing more housework is because their wives are also working. And when husbands and wives are BOTH working, it can be very difficult to make time for each other, especially when the couple has small children. There's only 24 hours in a day and you can only slice the pie into so many pieces.0
