Trouble with BodyMedia Fit recognizing exercise

I wear my BodyMedia Fit armband 23.5 hours a day, so it should be pretty well "trained' on my calorie burning.
I cannot get my BodyMedia Fit to recognize any exercise that I do that is not running/walking related! I do bootcamp 2x a week where we do a lot of body weight, resistance band, and kettlebell exercises, and the armband shows my calorie burn AND activity levels as the same as SITTING IN A CHAIR! For those of you that are familiar, my Mets/Min shows .9 during my bootcamp (same as sleeping!), and the workout does not even register as Moderate Activity in the physical activity graph.
I also have a standing desk, but that time standing only registers as .9 Mets/Min as well.
I know that the BM Fit uses your arm-swings as a very important factor in the data it gathers, but there are a lot of exercises that don't involve arm swinging! Does anyone with a BodyMedia Fit have this problem? It says 90% accurate, but if I am truly burning the same calories as sitting, I'll sit thanks.

Maybe there's a fault. Have you contacted customer services. Are you wearing it correctly.0

Based on my personal experience, research on the devices, and talking with reps of the manufacturers, I do not consider these devices to be suitable for tracking exercise calories.0

I would think that there may be something wrong with your unit--mine definitely shows a bump in calorie burn when I'm doing strength type training.0

Sounds like its not picking up your body heat for some reason I'd call customer service and maybe there's a reset or a replacement you can do0

I definitely see a jump in my calories burned while lifting. Could be defective?0

I would suggest reinstalling your Firmware. My BodyMedia malfunctioned like that a few months ago - it was saying I was sleeping when I was actually tailgating and attending a sporting event (lots of standing, jumping up and down, cheering).
After I reset my armband and updated the firmware, it went back to working as it should.0
