NSV... This one is huge, for me at least.

Today, I had a funny feeling in my stomach. One I didn't recognize. I FEEL FULL. Satisfied. Not hungry. Not overstuffed, to the point where i feel sick. Not like a bottomless pit that never fills. Just full. And I still have near 200 calories left that I can eat. I even left a few bites of dinner on my plate. And it was something really yummy too. I always, and I do mean always clear my plate. I was made to as a child and the habit stuck. But today, I didn't need to. It's crazy, isn't it, to be in tears over something so small, because for me it is huge. I have been trying for years, and today I did it. I'm so proud of my body right now, ever dimple, crease and imperfection. Because it is capable of change, and change it will. I feel... Hopeful, like this is doable. Like I can do this.

So yeah, Victory.

  • Awesome! For me, I really started to feel full and satisfied once i recognized my food is FUEL for my body, and lost the emotional attachment I had with it.

    Good for you

Yesterday, I left some chilli con carne (my favorite meal) and my wife was in shock! Fell a bit weird scraping the plate into the bin too but was also quite satisfying.
