My first NSV that I'm really proud of...

As with other gyms, the gym I go to has its regulars. I, along with my husband and two of our friends, are some of those regulars. Anyways, today's workout was Heavy Weight Leg Day. We switch week to week between heavy weights/low rep and light weights/high rep.

When I first started recording my weights that I was able to push, my leg press was at 230 pounds. That was three months ago. I have progressively gone up in weights week to week. Today I was trying a new heaviest weight... 540 pounds. I'm 5'3" tall and weigh 130 pounds of fairly lean muscle, but this was still a huge accomplishment for me.

Now on to my Non Scale Victory... LOL.... I didn't notice until I was almost done my set, but I was being watched by 3 regulars. 2 of which are muscled-up guys and one is a competitive female weightlifter. After I finished my set, I saw the two faces of the guys watching me... JAWS HAD DROPPED!! The guys kept saying to my husband how impressive that was and that pound for pound I was out pushing most guys at our gym. The woman walked past and said I should stop pursuing outside things and really focus on this, my new found love of the gym.

It was a good day and a huge confidence booster...

Awesome. Well done you. I find NSVs much more inspiring than the scale dropping personally!
