Hi Everyone,
So I started with MFP since monday and I've lost about a 1lbs.
Ive been generally finishing with a calorie deficit of ~300kcal.
MFP have given me a 1200 calorie intake but I upped it to 1300.
Was it a reasonable calorie deficit in order to get things moving? I have been loggin about 590 calorie burn with my Zumba w/o everyday. I have to say that is approximate because I haven't received my HRM yet (which I won ebay!!! yay!!!).
What do you guys think?

I think is fine for a short time to "get things moving" but if you eat that big of a deficit for too long you'll risk lowering your resting metabolism, which would mean less of a deficit at the same calories and a slower loss. You could likely eat another 200-300 calories a day and still lose at a good rate.0
