do spicy foods help you burn fat? or is that a myth?

    There is evidence to show that spices, especially chilli, can raise the metabolic rate by up to 50% for up to 3 hours after you’ve eaten a spicy meal.

    Drinks containing caffeine also stimulate the metabolism, as does green tea.

    I've heard this too and I believe it! :) My mom always told me this about "hot foods" so I ate a lot of salsa on my diet in my teens, lol. You just have to watch what you dip it in! Lately I've been throwing it on top of chicken when I bake (10 calories for a tablespoon? He|| yeah!!) and I love seasoning chicken and stir-fry with crushed red pepper. So good on pizza, too, which I just discovered.

    I love spicy foods! Great news! Since having kids though I can't do as much spice as I used to...it tortures me "on the way out" hahaha
