beach holiday

Hi
I'm very excited about going on our 1st all inclusive beach vacation in 12 days but I'm also don't want to put on the pounds that I worked so hard to take off.

Any tips, ideas from others out there?

Keep up with your exercising, take walks on the beach, go swimming, etc. And stay away from the mixed alcoholic drinks! They will have a ton of calories, stick to beer and wine. Use your common sense while eating, eat until your full, don't overeat, etc. Most importantly, have fun!! It's ok if you come back a pound or two heavier, it's hard to keep track of what you're eating when you're not preparing the food, but recognize this going in, so it's not such of a shock when you come back. And then be ready to work off any extra pounds you gained when you get back.

I know I'm actually more active on vacation. I'm walking all over the place, swimming, maybe going on hikes. So, keep that in mind. It might not feel like excersise but it is! Also, they do have healthy choices. The place I went to had a salad bar, fish options, salsa (nomnomnom). It's really no different then when you eat anywhere else!

Also, just because it's all inclusive doesn't mean you HAVE to eat everything all day
