Do you eat food with a lot of sodium in it? You may want to have that be one of the things that you look at because it can cause bloating. I find that happens to me if I eat a lot of salty foods, at the end of the days my rings feel very tight. But then I drink water to flush out the sodium and I feel much better.0

I've heard cranberry juice is great for detoxing and getting rid of bloating. Personally, I find that when having a meal, eating things like vegetables first and carbs last reduces bloating. And try not to eat too quickly, this can cause major bloating0

I am SO glad you posted this topic because I was just logging on to do the same thing. I have been so beyond bloated for the last two weeks, it's not even funny. Mine is my upper stomach... right under my ribcage it seems down to my belly button. I was wondering if maybe it was a food intolerance of some sort??
Frustrating! I'm eating well and exercising like I should be and this bloat feeling is for the birds!0 -
Alright, I'll add my slightly TMI 2 cents to this.
I've been struggling with increasing bouts of constipation over the last 6 months- is your bloating associated with lessened BM's? That's exactly why I was bloated and tooting all the time. Just two days ago I finally decided to try SOMETHING, ANYTHING to try and improve this. I was having at least a few days of constipation every couple of weeks. I bought some ground flax seed to add to my diet along with some ground psyllium. There are other things, magnesium citrate- other fiber supplements. Personally I'm trying for as natural as possible so I'm trying the flax and psyllium first. I took the first doses two days ago, and yesterday? BAM! Two regular healthy BM's within a day (totally unheard of for me. I'm once a day IF LUCKY) and I felt tons better yesterday as a result. My system's still adjusting to these additions, so I'm a bit bloated again today, but much less than before and not as gassy as before. I'm hopeful that just these two things along with consciously adding more veggies to my diet will help. If not, my next thing will be to try adding the powdered magnesium citrate to my diet in place of the psyllium.
Good luck! If it's BM related, I think in general it's a fiber issue. It has been with me at least. I was always getting the MFP recommended 20-25g a day, but I've read and been told 30-40g is better. So, this is what I'm working on!0
