We went to the store today a bought:
boneless skinless chicken breast
beef roast (on sale)
bulgur
3 bunches parsley
frozen veg blend
fresh mint
skim milk
2% milk
light yogurt
eggbeaters
dried apricots
spinach
Uncle Ben's rice inna cup thingy (had coupons, hubs eats it when he's in a hurry)
pre-portioned salmon filets
sweet potatoes
generic splenda
We are making moroccan food tomorrow night for some friends, so our list this week was geared towards that. We eat mostly from our pantry/freezer and buy whatever is on a super sale to add back. A few things we have to get every week-eggbeaters, spinach, yogurt, chicken, milk. We get a co-op produce basket ever two weeks, so most of our fruit and veg comes from there.0 -
Kale, carrots, celery, scallions, cucumber
Green Bell pepper, red bell pepper, onions, garlic
broccoli or cabbage or bok choy (some kind of cruciferous veg -- depends on best price!)
ginger root
Might try some burdock root. Been meaning to try it for the first time!
Tomato Sauce with Mushrooms
Nancy's Organic Cottage Cheese (with probiotics)
Omega 3 eggs from organic, cage free chickens
Black Beans and pinto beans
Basmati Brown rice
Frozen organic raspberries
Granny Smith apples
Perhaps some Kaia sprouted buckwheat cereal (or, perhaps I will just do rice stir fries for breakfast this week)
Sencha Organic Green Tea
Thanks for asking, I needed to make a grocery list for tomorrow, lol!
Now, what might make this more interesting is to make a grocery list of what I USED to eat, back before I lost 172 pounds. It ain't pretty!! I TRIED to write up a sample of what might have been on my grocery list back then, but it was just too embarrassing, so I had to delete it! Let's just say the only vegetable I used to get in a day was the tiny serving in the Frozen Dinners I used to eat for dinner every night (unless I got frozen pizza, or fast food!).0 -
I been buying about the same as I did before, just eating only 1200 calories a day. With the exception of lower calorie cheese, butter, milk, dressing for salad, and no sweets ot cokes!:noway:  :happy:0
