TDEE and exercise

Sorry if this is a silly question. What classes as "exercise" when working out your TDEE. I have put I do "light exercise" as I do 30 mins of cardio 3 times a week - is this enough or do you have to work out for longer? I can't see anywhere how long classes as exercise or is it just a question of something that gets your heart going so many times a week?

Try using this spreadsheet to find out your TDEE, it uses better exercise descriptions so is easier.

MFP works by asking you what you do WITHOUT e excise. You then add exercise in afterwards.0

It really depends on what you do for the rest of the day. If you have a moderately intense job id select light. If you have like a desk job I'd select sedentary. Working out is just a small part of the equation.0

Thanks guys - will have a look at that spreadsheet too. I am trying out TDEE - 20% so was trying to work it out more accurately rather than eating too much!0
