Sugar and Molasses

After a week of tracking, I've realized that sugar is my nemesis. If I can get that under control, I will be doing great. I have anemia, though, and generally low potassium. My doctor suggested (several years ago) to have a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses every day. But, as I'm looking at where I can cut out sugar, I've realized that a single tablespoon of blackstrap molasses takes nearly half my daily allowance of sugar (it's 13g per Tbsp). Should I continue to take the molasses and not worry too much about going over my sugar "budget" or is that 13g too much to ignore?

I would guess you'll get different opinions on those 50 calories. Sounds like it for health reasons.....0

Coconut water/milk, almond milk, pure cocoa powder, squash, sweet potato, white potato all are high potassium.
A cup of coconut milk is 600 mg K. More than 2 T of molasses! and only 43 kcals.
Pork is really high as well. Dried apricots....lots of goodies.0
