February is finally here. Ready for a whole new month, everyone? I sure am. Let's make some goals!(: Last month when I made my goal blog, a lot of people nicely suggested that I also make goals not involving the scale and I think that is great advice, so I am taking it into motion this month. I woke up this morning ready to see where I was at with my exercising goals and this is what I came up with this month without overdoing it.
Weight: February 1st weigh in was at 343.2 and on March 1st, I hope to weigh in at 331.2, which is a 12 pound loss, ranging at 3 pounds per week. 331 is the lowest I have ever been at, so I think it would be great for me to be at that weight again so I can just get closer and closer to the 200's. I know that 12 pounds in one month is a lot to ask for but I want to challenge myself. If I don't weigh in at 331.2 but I tried this month, then I will not beat myself up. I will be proud for trying and actually sticking to this weight loss journey without giving up.
Island: If you are reading this, you will have no idea what the 'island' is that I will be talking about, lol but please, feel free to continue reading(: There is this island in my house that I like to walk or jog around when I do not feel like going outside. Normally I will walk around 10 times and jog around it 5 times but this morning I told my girlfirend that me and her will jog around it till we can't no longer. I did it 10 times without stopping. My goal for this would be to be able to jog around it 15 times without stopping by March 1st. I think that is pretty do-able(:
Arm Ups: I dread arm ups because they hurt, lol. But when they hurt, that means I am doing something right(: So, normally every other day I will do 40 arm ups amongst other arm exercises but when I do the 40, they hurt so bad that I have to stop on the 20th, take a break, then continue. But then I stop on the 35th too. I want to be able to do all 40 in a row without stopping. That would be something, huh? (: I know this is going to be hard though, so it might take me more than one month but for now, I will say that I hope that on March 1st, I can do all 40 without stopping.
Step Ups: I am pretty sure that everyone knows what a step up is. Normally people use a step up object that is made for stepping up. I have no idea what it is called because my step up object is a stair, lol. But it works just as good! And it was free. Before I tell you my goal, I have to say a short story and it is a story that makes me SO HAPPY!! I think that smile tells it all, lol. But here goes- months and months ago, I would randomly add step ups to my exercises and I would say 30 step ups will be fine. I'd start doing them and once I got to 15 or so, I would feel dead and I would have to hold onto the stair railing. It was quite pathetic but at the time I didn't think that. At the time, I thought 15 was such a great number. Now get this- today, I woke up thinking step ups are something I haven't done for months, so I am going to do them and see how many I can do without stopping to see what I would like my goal to be. I started off great. I got passed 15 and in my head. I'm like, "Cool." Then I got to 30 and I am like, "Whoa." Then I got to 45 and I felt a little warn out but I KNEW I could keep going. In my head I said, "Let's do 50." Then 50 became 60 and 60 became 75 and 75 became 80 and 80 became 100 STEP UPS! Gosh, I mean, come on! How did I do that? It was incredible and I think that was the first time EVER that I pushed through pain that I knew would not kill me. For the first time in a very long time I can say that I am 100% proud of me. But as for the goal, I will be doing these Monday-Friday, so in the month of February I want to do a whopping (no, not a Whopper lol) total of 2,200 step ups. If I did every work day (which I am) and I did 100 every day, it would be a total of 2,000 steps, so guess what? On some days, I have to do over 100. Yikes! I can do this though!
Water: For the last week or so, I have been drinking 84.5 ounces of water daily (5 water bottles). If I did that every day of February, then I would be drinking 2,366 ounces of water just in that month. Just to challenge myself, I want to drink 2,600 ounces of water this month. It'll challenge me and I'll be peeing even more (TMI) but I think drinking water is needed in a weight loss journey.
A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often simply serves something to aim at.
