Famous Dave's for supper

We're going to Famous Dave's tonight for my husband's birthday. I'm trying to find something somewhat healthy to eat since I have my BL weigh-in tomorrow and don't want to blow it since I did so well last week. After looking at their menu and finding some of the calorie counts... I'm scared!!!

What can I eat? I'm not a huge fan of ribs, so that's not really a temptation. But, those cornbread muffins? Mmmmmm. The 600 calories may - I repeat, may - be enough to stop me from eating mine and the kids'. :noway:

Help me make a smart decision!!! TIA!:flowerforyou:

What I would do and have done when I know I am going out for dinner is make sure to do at least an hour long cardio session. By burning a lot of calories you will have those to make up that. Order what you would like, BUT only eat a small portion. As soon as your dinner comes to the table ask for a to-go box and put 3/4 of you meal away.

    God bless.

That's a great idea! I won't have any time for cardio tonight by the time we get home from dinner and get kids to bed. Well, maybe a half hour or so. I may have to make it fit in! I like the to-go box idea!
  • Well, I survived supper with little damage to my calorie count for the day (I even had a little left over) and not having to spend an hour on the treadmill! I had the Georgia Chopped Pork with the coleslaw and garlic mashed potatoes. I only ate half the meat, half the coleslaw and all of the potatoes. I did give in and have a little bit of the top of the cornbread muffin (mmmmmmmmm).

Since it was my husband's birthday, they brought out the hot fudge, vanilla bean ice cream sundae. I had two small bites and decided that it was a good time to use the restroom!!! By the time I got back, he and the boys had cleaned up the whole dessert. :smokin:

I'm so proud of myself for not overindulging!
